Baccarat at DaleWin has three possible bets: banker, player and tie. The banker bet is the best of the three, although it pays with a 5% commission. The tie bet is by far the worst. The player also makes no decisions during the hand, because the house rules decide whether a third card is dealt.
The three bets at the table
You choose before the deal and that is where your part ends. The table sums up what to expect from each one.
| Bet | Payout | Worth it |
|---|---|---|
| Banker | 1 to 1 minus 5% commission | Yes, the most favourable |
| Player | 1 to 1 with no commission | Acceptable, slightly worse than banker |
| Tie | 8 to 1 or 9 to 1 | No, the house takes much more |
The banker commission puts people off at first, and it should not. Even after deducting it, that bet is still the best on the layout.
How the hand is counted
Each card is worth its number; face cards and tens are worth zero. The cards are added up and only the last digit of the total counts.
A 7 and an 8 make fifteen, so the hand is worth five. Whoever is closest to nine wins. Then, if a third card is needed, the rule deals it, not the player.

Scoreboard patterns
Tables show a history of results and many players bet by following it. However, each hand is dealt from a shuffled shoe and remembers nothing of the previous ones.
A long run of banker wins does not make player more likely on the next hand. So the scoreboard is decoration, not a guide.
How much to bring to a baccarat table
I divide my balance by the minimum limit and aim for at least fifty hands. With less room the session ends before it shows its rhythm.
With an active bonus in 2026 it pays to check how much baccarat counts towards the rollover. The terms of each stage are published on DaleWin.
DaleWin frequently asked questions about baccarat
Quick answers about the best bet, the tie, the value of the hand, the scoreboard and the third card.
Which bet is best in baccarat?
Banker. It pays 1 to 1 minus a 5% commission and still leaves the player better off than the other two.
Why is the tie bet a bad idea?
Because the 8 to 1 payout does not make up for how rarely it comes up. So it is the bet where the house takes the most.
How is the value of a hand counted?
Face cards and tens are worth zero, the rest are worth their number. The cards are added up and only the last digit counts.
Does following scoreboard patterns help?
No. Each hand is dealt from a shuffled shoe and remembers nothing of the previous ones, so the history is decoration.
Can I decide whether to draw a third card?
No. The house rules decide it automatically, for both banker and player.
